Mike McKenzie is a BBC award winning, Indie-Pop Singer/Songwriter based in Edinburgh, Scotland. After nearly a decade behind the scenes as a freelance producer and songwriter he began his career as a solo artist in 2017 and has since released multiple singles, EP’s and, most recently, his debut solo album "I'd Wait Again". Described by The List as “A melting pot of Scottish folk, jangle pop and Americana” the album received immediate support from BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 4, BBC Scotland and over 120 regional stations throughout the UK.

 

Touring has seen Mike perform in iconic venues around the UK and beyond including King Tut’s in Glasgow, Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh, Green Note in London, Hyde Park Book Club in Leeds and several SoFar Sounds shows throughout the UK and Paris.

 

Outside of his solo work, Mike is a prolific writer and collaborator, having previously worked on projects with PJ Moore (The Blue Nile), Black Lilys, Eve Simpson and Haquin as well as regularly writing with artists and songwriters from around the world.
